Abstract
This study aims to examine the influence of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and compensation on employee performance, with job satisfaction as a mediating variable at PT. XYZ, Indonesia. The study is motivated by fluctuations in employee performance, the limited integration of HRIS in performance evaluation, and inconsistencies in compensation growth that may affect employee motivation and satisfaction. Previous studies have also reported mixed findings regarding the relationships among these variables, indicating the need for further investigation. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method with 184 employees as respondents, and the data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to assess both direct and indirect relationships. The findings show that HRIS and compensation have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, both directly and indirectly through job satisfaction. These results highlight the importance of integrating digital HR systems with fair compensation practices to improve employee satisfaction and performance, while also providing practical insights for organizations in enhancing performance in a sustainable manner.
